Trento

Our visit to Trento where we enjoyed a nice lunch and walked around.

Marius couldn't resist getting some ice cream in this apparently world famous place, which I've been told also pleased Martijn and Jorien a lot!

At night Charlie chose the wines to accompany our dinner...

Skiing

Since we were so close to the mountains and snow, we also went skiing one day which was great fun.

Euro 95, Diesel or Wine...

One of the great things about this part of the world is that you can buy wine here the way you would if you fill the tank of your car!

Charlie knows what's the best wine but couldn't reach for the top quite yet...

Diner last night

We wanted to prepare a nice meal for our hosts during our stay and stumbled into this pig at the supermarket which unfortunately was a bit more than we could eat with the five of us. Apparently two days after we had left only the head had survived the temptation.

Charlie was still happy without the grilled pig

And couldn't have be more happy than being served with a piece of veal although he thought it was a bit chewy

Marius didn't leave without a trace...

Verona in the dark

Verona is famous for this Arena and romance...

After a very nice walk and burning the calories of New Years Eve's sausage sooner than I expected, I opted for this nice pizza covered with Lardo... It tasted great although I couldn't finish it.

I'm sure these wines would have been great to go with the pizza!

This new tradition to me, love locks, seems like a great way to show the world you truly love your partner. For some cooler examples, though maybe less romantic places, click click
