Hoge Venen - Eifel

I surprised Joost for a weekend in nature: we went to the Hoge Venen - Eifel. Monschau is a really nice little village. It reminded us of Rovereto. We went for a long hike and I got injected by a wasp, luckily I discovered that I am not allergic. On the last day, we took a boat trip back and forth - twice, as it was really beautiful weather!

Stockholm

To celebrate midsummer, we went to Stockholm for a long weekend. 
It was a great trip! 

Swedish herring. 

An intact ship from 1628, Vasa museum. This was really impressive.

It sailed for half an hour and sank on this maiden voyage.
It was salvaged  in 1961 (333 years later)

We took a boat trip to Waxholm, 

a beautiful island an hour from Stockholm.

Easter Weekend

 (updating the site bit by bit...) For the Easter weekend, we went to the south of Belgium with Karen's family. We walked a lot and had several BBQ's. It was great!
